Thank you so much, Don, for once again shifting everything for me. When I saw the Scripture for today before listening to your message, it made me cringe…that due to so much baggage of past messages related to those verses. After listening to the message you bring, it makes my heart sing. I want to shout, “YES! Thank God! This is what it is truly all about!” Maybe if I keep hearing the paradigm of empahasis on love, of seeking the greatest good of the other, offering dignity, respect and justice to the other rather than focusing on obedience and duty and power, I’ll one day no longer cringe when these verses are read. Thank you from my heart for reshaping everything in the truth and context of the day it was written and how it relates to life in our world today. May God use your words powerfully to impact many lives for the wellbeing of us all and for God’s glory.
It sounds as if you have a bit of a cold or allergies again. Thanks for persevering.
