Pray I will know how to sit with the pain, grief and lament of my sister, Donna, and her husband, Bob, and with my friend, Heidi, who’s stepmother, aged 95, died Christmas Day. Heidi still grieves the death of her birth mother who died of cancer when she was 8 years old. Pray I’ll be a comfort to them and know how to encourage them to embrace their grief in healthy ways. Lately, I have been reading Psalms to them from time to time. Donna said she reads the Psalms to Bob when on the phone with him. What a beautiful legacy and tutor the Psalms are for us.
